James J. Peters VA Medical Center in Bronx, New York is recruiting for a full-time staff Endocrinologist to join our service.

Job Description

Responsibilities include outpatient and inpatient General Endocrine and Diabetes consults, including Thyroid FNA with ultrasound guidance. We are a teaching program and precepting rotating Endocrinology fellows from The Mount Sinai Endocrinology fellowship is an important component of the position. Medical students also rotate with our service on occasion. Teaching responsibilities also include lectures in endocrinology for medical residents at least a few times per year. You would be joining a collegiate team who work together to serve our Veterans, providing them with up to date and comprehensive endocrine/diabetes care. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week with occasional weekend coverage of inpatient consults.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
