Dental, vision, critical illness and injury coverage, long term care, pet insurance etc.Job Summary:The Physical Therapy Aide is an employee of The Physical Therapy Specialty Center (PTSC), a division of Primary Care Partners. The Aide is an active staff member and maintains the responsibility for assisting in the operational flow of the clinic needs as assigned.Duties/Responsibilities:Patient Direct care (all in supervision and per request of primary PT)Escort patients upon arrival to areas identified by PTsAssist patients in education and performance of exercises, providing written/copied materials as neededSet up, perform and monitor modalities as directed by PTSetup and perform initial VA pre-employment screens per protocolBe able to coordinate and maintain multi-patient needsAssist PTs in direct care with patients as requestedInform PT (PT supervisor if needed) of patient concerns, complaints, noted observationsAssist patients out of the clinic if needed; assist in transfer of equipment for patients if neededMaintain yearly competenciesPatient Indirect careAssist patients in checking in/scheduling appointmentsScore and record index questionnaires, review paperwork as able to ensure completenessComplete confirmation calls for follow up/reschedule appointmentsMonitor changes in daily schedule, assist PTs/clinic staff in keeping informed of changes,Complete calls to patients who no-show for follow up reschedulingComplete and distribute cancellation/no show lists to all PTs weeklyContact requested medical offices for support documents (ie diagnostic results, dictated notes, etc)Review patient clinic documentation as needed to assist in treatment plan of careEquipmentPrepare designated equipment for patients (ie exercise balls, theraband, etc)Monitor and perform daily cleaning as needed (ie Graston equipmentWeekly cleaning of clinic equipment (refer to cleaning schedule)ClinicPerform clinic morning/evening functions (start-up/shut down computers, lights, etc)Clean and stock (linens, brochures/handouts) all treatment roomsLaundry of clinic linensFollow safe handling procedures in all instancesMonitor and report supply needsWork Experience:Health care setting, preferredComputer experience, preferredEducation Requirements:High school graduate, preferredGeneral Requirements:Must be able to work under pressure; be detail oriented; have good work ethics and communication skills and must have the ability to work well with supervisor and other staff members.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position at 40 hours a week.
