About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours (06:50 - 17:30) Experience: 2-3 Years License: Active Maryland or Compact License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience in the Operating Room - Ability to Scrub for Procedures - Familiarity with Cerner Charting System Description: This is a full-time position with scheduled shifts from Monday to Friday. Day off will vary. On-call duty is required. Candidates must have 2-3 years of experience in the Operating Room. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend shifts are not required. BLS certification is required. Candidates will not float within their scope to meet facility needs. Local candidates are accepted. Candidates must be nicotine-free. Those who test positive for nicotine will be automatically canceled. The types of cases include general surgery, gynecologic procedures, some plastics, and daily robotic cases. Orthopedic cases occur only one day per week. Vascular cases generally occur in the afternoon. The hospital is an acute care facility with 178 staffed beds. Nurses are expected to have skills in various surgical procedures, including but not limited to abdominal and gynecological surgeries, laparoscopic procedures, and orthopedic surgeries. All applicants must comply with the facility's strict policies and procedures.
