Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Oncology Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/22/2026 Duration: 16 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Role Overview As an Oncology RN, you'll provide top-level care for critically or chronically ill cancer patients. Under direction from a physician, you may administer chemotherapy, implement new methods of symptom treatment, and monitor patients' progress. Oncology Travel Nurses are crucial in creating a supportive care environment. Oncology RNs play a key role in educating patients about treatment options and procedures. Responsibilities Coordinate treatment plans. Provide patient education and treatment tracking. Be a reliable source of comfort and support for cancer patients and their families. Attend to a great number of details while working under pressure. Implement best practice treatment protocols in a variety of settings. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. Walk and lift up to 20 pounds, and may need to lift patients up to 50 pounds. Oncology RNs may be exposed to chemicals and infectious diseases. Qualifications BLS ACLS Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
