What's an average day like as a Molding Operator ?

Perform full set-up of molding jobs, including recording of all information and documentation.
Work with the qualification of molds, mold revisions, and prototype molds
Establish molding processes on new molds.
Document pertinent information for new molds to ensure successful production processing.
Document standards for established processes.
Perform periodic product inspections using basic quality control equipment.
Perform basic maintenance/repair on presses, secondary operation equipment, and other equipment.

What do we look for in a Molding Operator?

Requires good working knowledge of the complete injection molding process and of primary and auxiliary equipment.
Familiarity with most thermoplastic materials, their general characteristics, and processing conditions.
Familiarity with basic mold design and function.
Manual dexterity with eye-hand coordination to allow efficient performance of manual tasks.
Able to pay close attention to detail.
General mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools.
Ability to lift and handle up to 55 pounds
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Schedule:

1st shift 5:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday - Thursday
