All adult IR procedures: body, vascular, neuro M-F, 4x10s. Call: Weeknight (Monday Thursday from 1800-0730) would occur 3 or 4 times during the 13 week contract. Weekend (Friday 1800-Monday 0730) would probably be 1 or 2 weekends during the 13 week contract. As we are a procedural area the work is not always complete at the end of their scheduled shift. The expectation is once a week the agency nurse may be designated to stay past the end of the shift if we have procedures to be completed. We refer to this as Backup. We also have the expectation of agency RNs working every 5th or 6th Saturday 0800-1600 as needed.

Patient Age Groups: Adults Daily Census: 8/day/nurse Number of Visits Per Day: - Number of Rooms: 9 Number of Beds: - Interdisciplinary Support: Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy Patient Diagnoses: All adult IR procedures: Neuro-interventional, Body Interventional, MSK procedures - We treat a wide range of diagnoses and disease processes - hemodialysis access, interventional oncology, both treatment and diagnosis, participate in clinical trials, vascular disease, central line placement, port placement, and embolization procedures. This is a high level sampling of procedures performed. The nurses role is largely, but not limited to administering sedation and monitoring the patients. Special Procedures/Unit Details: Agency RNs will be helping with performing pre-procedure phone calls Pre and Post Procedure Care Procedural sedation commonly using Fentanyl and Versed. Ultrasound, Fluoroscopic and CT guided procedures Inpatient and Outpatient population Level1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center Call requirements: Weeknight (Monday Thursday from 1800-0730) would occur 3 or 4 times during the 13 week contract. Compliance Deadlines/Requirements: Compliance deadline is 3pm CST on the Monday of the week before initial start date. Fit testing: *Travelers must have facial hair that allows for proper testing or will be expected to shave. No exceptions Certifications: For Barnes-Jewish Hospital location only: ACLS Required All RNs (except Behavioral Health, Case Manager & Outpatient) are required to obtain ACLS by compliance hard document deadline. Certifications not required at time of submittal unless otherwise noted in the job description. Labs: Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing Modules: Modules are billable up to 16 hours at $20/hr. Modules are completed pre-start, they are required for RNs and LVS and do not differ per specialty Modules are completed through WorkRamp and uploaded to compliance report Modules should be started within 1 week of signed contract, and MUST be completed 2 Fridays prior to the start date to avoid a delay in starting
