Robotic Welder B Shift in Dexter

Job Summary Under the direction of the Team Leader, the Robotic Welder is responsible for operating and maintaining robotic welding tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve required quality and production standards. The role includes performing all position welding and operating a variety of hand and air tools as needed. The Robotic Welding Operator must have excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and correct issues quickly. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operate robotic welder per required specifications Maintain equipment and perform assigned preventive maintenance to ensure machines produce quality parts Assist with changeover of equipment, components, parts or tooling Demonstrate understanding of all functions of the robotic controller Update Rev Counters on all axes of robot and positioner Fluent with all functions of the WCC (Work Cell Controller) Complete basic robot programming and demonstrate learned techniques (basic weld cell operation) Work with Manufacturing Engineering on weld changes and re‑program robotic welder as needed Perform all position and types of welding Layout, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, forged, and machined components to assemble a wide variety of complex structural forms and other components per blueprint specifications and knowledge of welding and metallurgy Demonstrate the ability to do so repeatedly without the use of fixtures Bolt, clamp, and tack‑weld parts to secure position for welding Set‑up gas‑shield MIG welder and weld component parts to blueprint specifications Use advanced knowledge of blueprints and welding symbols to complete job assignments Rework products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and assembling parts using oxy‑fuel torch, plasma, air arc & various other hand tools Program weldments & movements to achieve quality product Understand & execute inventory transactions & computer transactions Perform other duties as required Physical Requirements Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling can be expected Long periods of standing and walking can also be expected in this position Use of basic tools and equipment Occasional exposure to typical manufacturing areas may be required and will require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection, paint Team member must be mobile enough to navigate the manufacturing shop floor safely including walking and standing for up to four hours at a time Knowledge, Skills & Abilities High school diploma or equivalent 4‑5 years experience as a welder and fitter Advanced knowledge of blueprints and welding symbols Demonstrated skill level of wire feed (M.I.G.) welding Must pass welder certification test Ability to use hand and power tools Attention to detail required Demonstrates the ability to follow/provide direction and work in a team environment Ameri-Force Benefits Industry Leading Pay Medical Coverage Dental Coverage Vision Coverage Short Term Benefits Term Life Benefits Referral Bonuses (available for specific jobs only) About Ameri-Force Since 1991, Ameri-Force has been a leader in skilled trades staffing, offering a people‑focused approach that provides competitive advantages for our clients and rewarding career opportunities for our contract employees.
