Senior Accounting Analyst

As a full-time member of our professional staff in our Buffalo office, you would have senior bookkeeper responsibilities with a core focus in our Outsourced Accounting Solutions (OAS) practice. Key responsibilities include: Oversee and review bookkeeping and accounting functions for multiple clients in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm standards. Manage the monthly close process, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial statement review. Analyze financial results and provide insights, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities. Supervise and mentor junior staff, reviewing work and ensuring timely, accurate deliverables. Maintain and improve client accounting systems, including process optimization and best practices. Oversee A/P, A/R, and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Monitor cash flow, expenditures, and budgets to support client decision-making. Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and related reporting. Prepare financial reports and serve as a client resource. Required skills: 2+ years experience in Accounting Proven experience as a bookkeeper/accountant Demonstrate analytical skills to identify issues Ability to problem solve Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, manage time and accomplish results within deadlines Ability to work within a team as well as independently Demonstrated self-starter Excellent organization and written/verbal communication skills Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Outlook is required Experience in QuickBooks and/or other accounting software packages Education and Experience: Required - Associate's Degree in Accounting with 2+ years Accounting Experience Preferred - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 2+ years Accounting Experience $63,000 - $79,000 CTBK is an equal-opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
