About the Neurosciences Department Our Neurosciences Department brings together a diverse and highly specialized team offering comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of neurological conditions—from headaches and syncope to stroke and complex tumors. As part of our inpatient neurology service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with acute and complex neurologic needs. Role Overview As an Inpatient Neurosciences Physician Assistant, you will: Manage all aspects of patient care for the neurology inpatient service Perform neurological consults for both Emergency Department and in-house patients Participate in stroke code responses and assist in acute stroke management Coordinate discharge planning and outpatient follow-up Collaborate closely with neurologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members This is a per diem position covering all shifts. Preferred Qualifications Prior neurology and/or stroke care experience Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies Active NYS Physician Assistant License Current NCCPA Certification BLS and ACLS certification NYS Infection Control Certification DEA registration and NYS Opioid Prescriber Training Certification Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
