Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Personal Trainer to join Long Island's favorite gym, Fitness Incentive, where we've been "Building Bodies that Last" for over 40 years. As a Personal Trainer, you will perform fitness assessments, develop and deliver training plans, and provide education on how to use gym equipment safely and effectively. Your primary goal is to help clients reach their fitness objectives. The ideal candidate is a great teacher with a passion for fitness.
Responsibilities
- Perform fitness assessments to understand each client’s current fitness level.
- Create individualized workout plans and training routines, and revise them periodically.
- Demonstrate proper techniques for using machines and equipment
- Ensure that all gym safety standards and procedures are followed
- Provide service and solutions to meet the needs of our members
Qualfications
- High school diploma/GED required
- Current nationally recognized Personal Trainer Certification
- Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred
- First aid and CPR-certified
- Experience as a Personal Trainer or Fitness Instructor
- Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Basic Computer Skills
