Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse position located in Des Moines, Iowa. This role requires candidates to have recent experience in Labor Delivery, with a strong preference for high-risk Obstetrics experience in trauma levels I and II facilities. The assignment begins on July 20, 2026, and candidates are expected to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and an Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certificate. Candidates must have an active Iowa or multistate (compact) license, current or recent high-risk Obstetrics experience, including antepartum, cesarean section, and vaginal delivery experience. EMR experience with EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) required.
• Preferred Qualifications: High-risk OB experience in level II trauma facilities, recent high-risk OB experience in level I trauma settings, and experience in postpartum/mother-baby care.
• Experience: Experience in Labor Delivery required; no first-time travelers; candidates must have completed at least one travel assignment within the past 12 months.
• Additional Information: The traveler will be required to float across all campuses in the area, including Iowa Methodist and Iowa Lutheran. The position involves working during 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
