Upholsterer 2nd Shift

Prepare and install upholstery materials, including wood, foam and material.

Essential Job Functions:

• Layout and cut materials; operate cutting machine
• Stage materials for jobs per work order
• Use oven to prepare vinyl prior to stapling
• Staple vinyl to pad using staple gun
• Assemble pieces following established procedures; attach backing and punch holes
• Batch finished pads by work order and place in appropriate area
• Box pads as needed
• Make labels using computer and label maker
• Check work for quality
• Operate vinyl picker and pallet jack

Non-Essential Job Functions:

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Ability to operate staple gun, heat gun, vinyl cutter and hand tools (razor, wire cutter, staple remover)
• Ability to operate computer in order to run label maker
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (read and understand)

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 5 lbs frequently, 20 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs rarely
• Walk, stand, bend, twist/turn, reach overhead and grasp tools as necessary
• Operate vinyl picker and pallet jack
