Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a compassionate and dependable Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing home healthcare team in Milton, Massachusetts.

Your Role as a Home Care Occupational Therapist (OT):

As an Occupational Therapist (OT) with VRNS, you’ll provide skilled occupational therapy services directly in patients’ homes. You’ll work closely with patients, caregivers, and their care teams to improve independence, functional abilities, safety, and quality of life. Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations
• Developing individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs
• Providing therapeutic activities and interventions to improve functional independence
• Training patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
• Assessing patients’ home environments and recommending appropriate safety modifications and adaptive equipment
• Providing education and training to patients and caregivers
• Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed
• Collaborating with physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, and other members of the care team
• Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation

Requirements:

Need to Have:

• Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapist (OT) license
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical nursing experience
• Afternoon availability

Nice to Have:

• Previous home care experience
• Monday–Friday availability
• Weekend availability
