Job Description

Join a fast-paced and challenging cardiac unit at a top cardiac center for excellence. This unit has a high acuity level with 20 beds and a dedicated staff of 40, including RNs and PCTs, ensuring optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patient care in the PCU setting.
• Perform typical procedures such as chest tube placement and removal, and manage drips including heparin and amiodarone.
• Conduct 12 lead EKGs and assist with various cardiac monitoring tasks.
• Maintain communication with physicians, families, and care team members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1-year current PCU experience.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
• NIH (National Institutes of Health) Stroke Scale certification preferred.
• Extensive neuro and cardiac experience is a plus.
