Description

American Traveler is hiring an LPN/LVN for an outpatient Family Medicine clinic requiring 1+ year of experience and Epic charting familiarity.

Details

• Outpatient clinic/urgent care setting within Family Medicine
• Scheduled for 5x8 hour day shifts falling between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM
• Required to float to all FM/IM/Peds locations
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• License required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience
• Ambulatory and pediatric experience required
• Competency in rooming, injections, EKG, nasopharyngeal swabs, blood pressure checks, and ear flushes
• Skilled in medication administration including ear drops, eye drops, IM/SQ, oral, and subcutaneous routes
• Experience with follow-up calls, specimen labeling, medication reconciliation, and vaccine administration
• Able to obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG and instruct on clean catch urine collection
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Returning staff must wait 6 months system-wide before being eligible for rehire
• Responsibilities include patient rooming, vaccine and medication administration, EKG monitoring, and specimen collection
• Requires flexibility, dependability, and willingness to work with a multidisciplinary team
