Biostatistics Associate Director (HYBRID)

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Biostatistics Associate Director to lead statistical analyses for clinical trials and real-world data studies. This role combines independent technical expertise with cross-functional collaboration to support drug development and regulatory submissions in a hybrid Boston location.
Responsibilities
- Conduct statistical analyses for multiple clinical trials, observational studies, and real-world data investigations
- Lead biostatistics projects, allocate work, and review team contributions
- Author Statistical Analysis Plans, data review plans, and clinical study reports
- Present findings to internal review committees and external regulators
- Collaborate with statistical programming and cross-functional teams on study design and analysis
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics, or Master's degree with equivalent experience
- 7+ years experience with Ph.D. or 10+ years with Master's degree in biostatistics
- Advanced proficiency in SAS and R statistical software
- Deep knowledge of statistical methods used in clinical drug development
- Experience with regulatory submissions (NDA/MAA) and regulator interactions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Compensation: $174,800 - $262,200 base
