Upstream Production Chemist I
LGC Group
Production Chemist I role at LGC Standards involves manufacturing analytical reference standards in organic and aqueous matrices for various analytical techniques. Position requires lab work in an ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ISO 17034 accredited facility in Manchester, NH, with attention to safety, contamination control, and quality procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare stock and custom bulk standards following quality system procedures and maintaining ERP inventory
- Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment including reactors, mixers, and analytical balances
- Verify calibration of balances, volumetrics, and other laboratory equipment
- Maintain clean workspace to minimize hazards and contamination while adhering to contamination control requirements
- Meet production goals while working collaboratively within team or independently
Requirements
- Two years production lab experience or two-year science/technical degree
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent related experience/training
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Proficiency in internet-based application programs
- Four-year science or technical degree preferred
- Laboratory experience with standard operating procedures
- Advanced Excel, Word, and ERP system skills preferred
