Shape the lives of young learners as a dedicated professional supporting an elementary Kindergarten self-contained autism program. This full-time, onsite contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference, collaborating with a committed team to create a positive and inclusive educational experience for students with autism.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid SPED Educator Certification and IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (required)
- Recent experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally in elementary or early childhood settings
- Deep understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and effective instructional strategies
- Proficiency with visual supports, structured classroom environments, and individualized interventions
- Knowledgeable in writing compliant, data-driven IEPs
- Strong skills in positive behavior management and communication
- Passionate, flexible, and committed to fostering social, academic, and emotional growth
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction, intervention, and support for students in a self-contained Kindergarten classroom
- Develop and implement engaging, individualized lesson plans based on IEP goals
- Create classroom environments using structured routines and visual supports to maximize student success
- Conduct formal and informal assessments to monitor progress and inform instruction
- Collaborate closely with related service providers, support staff, and families for holistic student development
- Ensure compliance with all special education documentation and reporting requirements
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to support communication, academic, social, and behavioral needs
