Project Engineer/Field EngineerTurner & Townsend Heery is seeking an Entry-Level Project Engineer/Field Engineer to join our construction management team supporting a Land Port of Entry project in San Diego County. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in building a career in construction and project management on a major public infrastructure program.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport day-to-day construction management and field activities.Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, maintain project calendars, meeting action items, and project documentation.Conduct field walks and assist with documenting construction progress and site conditions.Prepare daily/weekly reports, meeting minutes, photographs, and project records.Assist with schedule, cost, quality, safety, inspection, and contractor coordination.Support project closeout and turnover activities.Coordinate with SANDAG, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, or a related technical field.0–3 years of experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.Prior construction experience or internships are helpful but not required.Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.Basic ability to read construction drawings and specifications preferred.Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, Primavera P6, or similar construction software is a plus.Ability to work in both a project office and active construction-site environment.This is an entry-level developmental position offering hands-on experience working alongside experienced construction and project management professionals on the Otay Mesa East Port of Entry, a complex binational transportation and border infrastructure program.The salary range for this full-time role is $70k-$82K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.
