We are seeking a motivated professional who wants more than just another job. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the owner of an established, diversified financial and business-services practice and be personally trained in all major aspects of the organization.

This position is designed as a long-term mentorship and succession opportunity . The successful candidate will initially work primarily behind the desk, learning the technical, administrative and operational side of the business before progressing into client-facing, management and leadership responsibilities.

The goal is to teach the successful candidate how these disciplines work together when advising individuals, retirees and business owners.

How the Mentorship Works

Phase 1 - Technical Training

Initially, you will work primarily from the office learning the business from the ground up. Responsibilities may include preparing tax returns, reviewing client documents, bookkeeping, financial analysis, preparing reports and planning cases, researching client matters, maintaining records, and learning our software, systems and procedures. We believe someone should understand the work behind the scenes before being expected to advise clients.

Phase 2 - Client Development

As you demonstrate technical knowledge, accuracy and sound judgment, you will gradually begin participating in client meetings, preparing recommendations, handling routine client matters and managing portions of client cases.

Phase 3 - Management & Leadership

With continued development, responsibilities may expand to managing client relationships, supervising employees and workflow, developing new business and participating in management and strategic decisions. For the exceptional candidate, the long-term objective is to develop someone capable of helping operate and eventually lead a significant portion of the business.

Who We Are Looking For

Tax preparation experience is strongly preferred. Additional experience in accounting, bookkeeping, financial services, insurance, banking, real estate, estate planning or small-business consulting is beneficial but not required.

You do not need to know every area of our business. We are looking for someone with the ability and desire to learn them.
