Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine & CT Technologist with dual NMT and CT credentials and 2+ years of nuclear cardiology experience for an outpatient imaging center.

Details

• Outpatient imaging center setting serving adult patients
• Approximately 6-8 cases per tech, per day
• Performs pulmonary studies including lung scans (perfusion, ventilation/perfusion)
• Performs myocardial studies including exercise/rest (single and multiple) and pharmacological stress testing
• Performs bone and renal studies including 3-phase, limited, and whole body bone scans, and captopril renal flow studies
• Performs GI, thyroid, and liver studies including gastric emptying, I-123 uptake scan, and liver imaging
• Performs SPECT imaging (bone, thyroid, cardiac)
• Uses EPIC charting system
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Must float within skillset without exception

Requirements

• Must hold both Nuclear Medicine and CT credentials
• NMT credential: ARRT(N) or CNMT
• CT credential: ARRT(CT), NMTCB(CT), or R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT), or a combined R.T.(N)(CT)(ARRT) satisfying both requirements
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Nuclear cardiology experience required
• Active NJ or Compact license required, if applicable
• Pending NJ license may be accepted for submission

Additional Information

• Performs a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures across pulmonary, cardiac, bone, renal, GI, thyroid, and liver studies
• Located in a 25,000-square-foot outpatient imaging center connected to the hospital by a pedestrian bridge
• Center offers nuclear medicine, CT, MRI, digital mammography, DEXA, breast MRI and biopsies, ultrasound, and X-ray services
• Part of a partnership between the hospital and a radiology group within a large integrated healthcare system
• Any color scrubs permitted
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Former health system employees (full-time or PRN) must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
