Summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties

• You will provide direct services for the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) including conducting clinical case assessment (e.g. safety/lethality).
• You will provide clinical treatment/intervention for individuals couples children families and groups on family maltreatment.
• You will serve as a community liaison to ensure an effective coordinated community response to allegations of child abuse/neglect and domestic abuse including situations with high-risk for bodily harm or lethal violence within the family.
• You will conduct clinical interviews to assess individuals and identify the development of behavior patterns mechanisms and symptoms.
• You will provide strategic clinical consultation to installation leadership medical professionals and multi-disciplinary teams to guide clinical needs assessments and coordinate systemic military community responses.
• You will oversee comprehensive clinical needs assessments to design execute and monitor highly specialized treatment plans for both victims and offenders of family maltreatment.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position requires routine on-site access to government facilities. The incumbent may perform the required tasks at an off-site location for situational telework.
• This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel approximately 10% of the time away from the regular duty station to attend or provide training conduct FFSP certification visits or deliver services aboard ships.
• This position requires regular contact with children under the age of 18 and a favorable determination of suitability to do some and periodic re-verification check of multiple agency records.
• The incumbent must meet Tier II qualification requirements described in SECNAVINST 1754.8 Credentials Review and Clinical Privileging of Clinical Providers with Depart of the Navy Family Readiness Program.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid State drivers license.

Qualifications

This is an interdisciplinary position which may be filled by any of the following series: CLINICAL COUNSELOR (0101) PSYCHOLOGIST (0180) SOCIAL WORKER (0185).

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public experience must demonstrate the following:1) Directing and coordinating the work of professional employees to include assigning work to subordinates based on priorities selective consideration of assignment difficulty and requirements and the employees capabilities and privileging status; 2) Providing supervision concerning evaluation risk assessment intervention treatment and case management for a wide range of client needs; 3) Maintaining comprehensive expert-level command of FAP statutory requirements policy directives and compliance regulations; 4) Demonstrated expert clinical judgment in diagnosing family violence dynamics conducting comprehensive risk assessments implementing safety protocols and delivering evidence-based treatment for both victims and offenders. **NOTE: This experience must be fully supported in your resume to be considered for the position .

a. Masters degree from a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP) or an equivalent degree

c. Masters degree in Social Work from a graduate school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or an equivalent degreeORd. Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited university or professional school and a one-year APA accredited clinical internship.2. State or U.S. territory license or certification that provides legal authority to provide clinical services as an independent practitioner in the fields of Licensed Professional Counseling Marriage and Family Therapy Clinical Social Work Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology.3. When the state or U.S. territory licensing or certification requirements include a written examination candidates for privileging must have achieved a passing score on that examination.4. Must have engaged in two years full-time post-masters supervised clinical experience

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Basic education requirements for the GS-0101 Professional Social Science Series: Have successfully completed a behavioral or social science degree or a degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position being filled
OR
Have a combination of education and experience that provided knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the four years of appropriate experience that demonstrates knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

Basic education requirements for the GS-0180 Professional Psychology Series: Have successfully completed a degree with a major or equivalent in psychology for a specialization other than clinical or counseling psychology
OR
Have successfully completed all the requirements for a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical successfully completed 2 full academic years of graduate study directly related to professional work in counseling psychology or successfully completed all the requirements for a masters degree directly related to counseling psychology in an accredited educational institution.

Basic education requirements for the GS-0185 Professional Social Work Series :Have successfully completed a degree in social work that fulfills all of the requirements for the masters degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

Have successfully completed a masters degree in social work with practicum.
