Department Supervisor

About the Role As a Department Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales and Profit goals in the store by executing a plan to deliver the Best Customer Experience in the department and overall store. The Department Supervisor will work in accordance with legal requirements and H&M standards, policies, and procedures to meet the expectations of customers and colleagues. A Day in the Life Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities* Customer Sales & Profit Supporting the total OMNI customer experience in your store, ensuring visual and commercial curation according to global guidelines. Representing yourself and the H&M brand positively during customer interactions. Being aware of and taking responsibility for your department's strengths, identifying commercial opportunities, and working with your Department Manager to act on them. Ensuring customer service is provided in all areas of the store and that your team has the ability to work towards actively promoting and selling products to customers. Following up that your team is actively promoting our Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in‑store sustainability initiatives. Ensuring correct routines in fitting room and checkout, including transaction, returns, and exchanges. Ensuring all admin routines for both people and operations are handled correctly. Fashion & Trend Awareness Keeping up to date with the fashion scene, trends, tendencies, styles, brands, products, competitors, and relevant influencers. Ensuring your team provides product and fashion knowledge as well as other relevant information during customer interactions. Team & Development Retaining and sharing your knowledge and skills with the Store team. Collaborating, planning, and working with the Visual Merchandiser team. Giving and receiving feedback with your colleagues to learn, develop, and support each other. Communicating regularly with store colleagues to inform, motivate, and inspire – daily and weekly meetings. Ensuring all procedures, routines, and legal requirements in all areas of the store are followed. Retail Operations / Visual & Commercial Execution Securing a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house, including stockroom areas. Ensuring high fashion quality, visual and commercial product presentation, and good garment care. Securing adequate stock levels and providing input on allocation to Area team. Ensuring the full garment cycle – from delivery to garment presentation – and fitting room routines are according to internal standards and routines, using all tools and technology provided. Maintaining best practices for in-store OMNI services and in-store tech services/tools such as Instore Care App, Click & Collect, Smart Store, etc. Securing a strong balance and maintaining price signs throughout the store, following guidelines according to global and local strategies and sales market/regional requirements to ensure a consistent price perception. Updating and maintaining BOH areas for all colleagues (key information, health & safety, tidiness, etc.). Being responsible for opening and closing of the store daily.
