Fleet Support Engineer

Our client, a leader in transportation and autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a Fleet Support Engineer to join their team. As a Fleet Support Engineer, you will be part of the Vehicle Development department supporting the Fleet Support Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Fleet Support Engineer Location: Foster City, CA Pay Range: $70-$75/hour + Benefits What's the Job? Serve as the primary technical point of contact for real-time escalations regarding powertrain and vehicle dynamics issues. Conduct in-depth root cause analysis to implement both interim and permanent corrective actions. Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to powertrain performance, energy consumption, and charging. Develop and maintain comprehensive troubleshooting guides for powertrain components to empower field technicians and drive knowledge sharing. Validate and perform component and vehicle bring-up/functional verification procedures, focusing on powertrain systems. What's Needed? Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles, with a focus on powertrain, energy storage, or charging systems. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automotive Engineering. Ability to safely troubleshoot low voltage and high voltage systems. Hands-on experience with powertrain systems, including electric motors, inverters, and battery management systems.
