Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active certification as a COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant)
• Licensure to practice as a COTA in Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Understanding of IEPs and accommodations for students with diverse needs
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Collaborative approach to working with teachers, therapists, and families

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized student therapy plans
• Work directly with students to develop fine motor, sensory integration, and functional life skills
• Support classroom participation and inclusion by adapting activities or environments to student needs
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes
• Collaborate with school staff to monitor and encourage student progress
• Contribute creative ideas to foster student growth and engagement
