In this role, you will lead the planning, organization, and execution of the program's test scripting effort and collaborating closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations (ATLO) leadership to ensure test objectives and requirements are fully mapped to the appropriate test scripts.This is a hands on technical role. You will be an active contributor to the test scripting effort, developing, executing, and debugging test scripts yourself, while setting the technical direction for how the program's scripts are built and organized. You will also help coordinate the team's day to day scripting workflows and partner with the space software team to integrate and utilize the new Constellation Platform test software tools on the program.The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth in space vehicle verification and test with the organizational and interpersonal skills needed to coordinate across engineering disciplines and program leadership.Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or related disciplineExperience developing and executing space vehicle system-level test scripts in Python for verification across multiple subsystemsExperience working with test script frameworksOn-console space vehicle-level test engineering experience, including in environments such as thermal vacuum (TVAC)Experience mapping verification requirements and test objectives to test scripts or test sequences (e.g. building or maintaining a test script matrix)Working knowledge of requirements management and verification, including tools such as IBM DOORSMust be a United States citizen with the ablity to obtain and maintain a secret clearanceDesired SkillsActive top secret clearanceProficiency in additional languages such as C++ or TypeScript/JavaScriptExperience building custom tooling to support requirements, verification, or test workflows (e.g. data visualization tools)Ability and willingness to deploy to multiple programs to support test script developmentStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently across cross-functional teamsPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $91200.00 - $169400.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
