As a Security Officer Full Time Command Center Specialist in White Plains, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer supporting a government transportation location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, document security-related activity using computer or tablet systems, and provide outstanding customer service to travelers, employees, and visitors. Pay Rate: $29.46 - $30.46 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned transit facilities, platforms, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and support access-control procedures for restricted areas in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess a state, county, or city-issued security-related license, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
