Brand Manager - B2B Practice

We are seeking a full-time, experienced Brand Manager to support our growing B2B practice. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to clients, managing relationships, developing and executing results-driven public relations campaigns, and collaborating with our internal specialists to deliver exceptional results. The Brand Manager will report to the Managing Director of the B2B practice and work out of our Maryville office.

• Serves as the primary client contact, building trusted relationships with B2B clients across multiple industries.
• Develops strategic media relations plans and collaborates with the media relations team to secure consistent coverage in relevant industry trade publications, business media and national outlets.
• Creates and executes strategic B2B public relations campaigns aligned with clients’ business objectives, target audiences and measurable communications goals.
• Leads and coordinates internal specialists in media relations, content and research to ensure client objectives are met, work is delivered on time and campaigns remain within approved budgets.
• Researches, writes and edits compelling content, including press releases, thought leadership articles, executive bylines, case studies, media pitches, blogs and other communications materials.
• Identifies opportunities to position client executives as industry thought leaders through media interviews, speaking engagements, industry awards, contributed articles and other credibility-building initiatives.
• Provides strategic counsel to clients during crises, sensitive situations and other communications challenges.
• Oversees the development of professional social media and blog calendars and content aligned with client objectives.
• Prepares and presents client reports that evaluate media coverage, key messages, target audience reach, campaign performance and progress toward established PR objectives.
• Schedules and leads recurring client meetings, provides strategic counsel to C-suite executives and proactively addresses client needs and concerns.
• Maintains accurate agency timesheets on a daily basis and ensures assigned client work remains within approved budgets.
• Stays informed about B2B industry trends, emerging technologies, competitive developments and business issues to identify newsworthy opportunities and provide strategic recommendations.
• Collaborates with the Managing Director of the B2B practice to strengthen client relationships, support client retention and identify opportunities for account growth.

Some of the requirements and characteristics we are seeking in a Brand Manager

• 5+ years of demonstrated public relations experience and a bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, mass communications or a related field.
• Public relations agency experience strongly preferred, including experience managing multiple client accounts and developing B2B communications strategies.
• Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to consistently produce clear, accurate and compelling content.
• Demonstrated success securing earned media coverage in business, trade and industry-specific publications.
• Ability to understand complex industries, products and services and translate technical or specialized information into compelling stories for business audiences.
• Expert knowledge of public relations best practices, content development, media relations and emerging industry trends.
• Strong client consulting and account management skills, including experience advising senior-level executives.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative environment and leading cross-functional teams.
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced agency environment.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple client accounts, priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Self-motivated, proactive, inquisitive and enthusiastic, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Demonstrates initiative, sound judgment and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
• Confident presenting to groups of all sizes and skilled at motivating and influencing others through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPress and content management systems.
