Job Title

RN – Medical Surgical / Telemetry, Float Pool

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 Hours/Week | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Float across up to 5 Medical Surgical / Telemetry units, adapting quickly to varying patient populations and unit workflows
• Provide direct patient care in an acute care setting, including IV management and telemetry monitoring
• Independently read and interpret telemetry strips , with the ability to pass an on-site telemetry exam on Day 1 with a score of 84% or better (up to 2 attempts)
• Maintain flexibility with scheduling, including most Fridays; extended time-off requests are not accommodated in this role

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Massachusetts or compact equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
• Proficiency with Meditech and EPIC electronic health record systems
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Demonstrated ability to independently read telemetry strips and pass facility telemetry exam
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be classified at a local rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3–5 years of RN experience in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting
• Previous float pool experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated adaptability across multiple unit types and patient care environments
