Job Summary

CVS Health MinuteClinic is seeking a qualified and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide evidence-based primary and family healthcare services. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in primary care, family medicine, or urgent care and be comfortable working independently as part of a collaborative clinical care team.

The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients, managing chronic conditions, providing preventive care, and promoting positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based primary and family healthcare.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat common illnesses and injuries.
• Manage chronic conditions and ongoing health concerns.
• Conduct routine physical examinations and health screenings.
• Counsel patients on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Develop and coordinate comprehensive patient care plans.
• Provide patient follow-ups and support continuity of care.
• Encourage patient participation in wellness and chronic disease management.
• Perform administrative duties, including opening and closing the clinic, maintaining inventory, verifying insurance, and collecting payments.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional clinical environment.
• Collaborate with the clinical care team to improve patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current national board certification.
• Active NP license in Massachusetts.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Nurse Practitioner experience in primary care, family medicine, or urgent care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
• Strong knowledge of chronic disease management and quality measurement.
• Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and make sound clinical decisions.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and healthcare technology.
• Willingness to obtain additional state licensure if required.

Work Schedule

• Training: Monday through Friday for 3 weeks, up to 40 hours per week.
• Regular Schedule: Combination of weekdays and weekends.
• Weekend Requirement: Three out of every six weekends, unless otherwise specified.
• Holiday Rotation: May be required.
• On-Call Rotation: May be required.
• Hours: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week.

Additional Requirements

• A verifiable high school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior CVS/Aetna work experience is not required.
• DEA registration may be required during onboarding; this should be verified according to MinuteClinic requirements.
