Porter / Lot Attendant

Position Summary

Tom Wood Porsche is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Porter/Lot Attendant to support dealership operations and help maintain the premium experience our customers expect from the Porsche brand. This role is responsible for the organization, appearance, and movement of new, pre-owned, and customer vehicles throughout the dealership.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, enjoys working around vehicles, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, professional environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Move and park customer, new, and pre-owned vehicles safely throughout the dealership.
• Assist Service Advisors and Technicians by transporting vehicles to and from service areas.
• Maintain the appearance and organization of vehicle inventory on the lot and showroom.
• Ensure vehicles are properly lined up, fueled, charged, and ready for customer delivery.
• Perform vehicle washes, vacuuming, and basic detailing as needed.
• Conduct visual inspections of vehicles and report any damage or concerns immediately.
• Assist with dealer trades and vehicle transportation between dealership locations.
• Install license plates, stock numbers, and vehicle information tags as directed.
• Keep parking lots, service drives, and customer-facing areas clean and presentable.
• Shuttle customers or employees when required.
• Assist with snow removal, lot clean-up, and general facility maintenance.
• Follow all safety procedures and dealership policies while operating vehicles.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Ability to safely drive luxury and high-performance vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude and commitment to excellent customer service.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.

Preferred Skills

• Previous dealership, porter, valet, or customer service experience.
• Experience driving high-end or luxury vehicles.
• Knowledge of vehicle appearance standards and dealership operations.
• Strong time-management and communication skills.
