Direct Counsel is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant with 5+ years of civil litigation experience to support attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, format, proofread, and finalize pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
File and serve documents in Utah state and federal courts, including appellate matters
Manage case files, attorney calendars, deadlines, and scheduling
Coordinate with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, court reporters, and court staff
Assist with mail processing, travel arrangements, expense reports, and other administrative tasks
Qualifications:
5+ years of civil litigation experience
Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and Utah court filing requirements
Excellent organizational, communication, and proofreading skills
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines independently
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe
Experience with iManage/FileSite is a plus
