Family Practice - Geriatrics Physician

Family Medicine Physician / Provider Scandia, MN Job Summary A rural hospital dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services to underserved communities is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Medicine Provider to join its team. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to patients of all ages, including infants, children, adults, and elderly patients Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions Conduct routine physical exams, wellness visits, preventive screenings, and immunizations Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and heart disease Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using EPIC EHR Educate patients and families on preventive care and health management Participate in community outreach and wellness initiatives Follow established clinical protocols, policies, and ethical standards Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine Valid and unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain) in Minnesota Minimum 1 2 years of Family Medicine experience preferred CPR and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Strong organizational and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working in rural or underserved communities Experience managing broad-spectrum primary care cases EPIC EHR experience preferred Telemedicine experience is a plus Flexibility to adapt in a resource-limited environment Working Conditions Full-time position (1.0 FTE) Supportive rural healthcare setting Collaborative team environment Focus on quality patient care and work-life balance Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) Retirement plan with employer contributions Relocation assistance (negotiable) CME allowance and licensure reimbursement Gym membership included Professional development and continuing education opportunities Supportive work environment with strong work-life balance
