About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience as a registered nurse License: Valid registered nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ENPC or PALS, CPI, TNCC Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: The emergency department has a total of 12 beds. The unit is staffed by 6-8 personnel, including 5-7 registered nurses, an emergency room technician, and a unit secretary. Patient ratios are maintained at 4:1. The unit utilizes electronic medical records. Staff members are expected to be strong in neuro and cardiac care. Candidates should thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment and be familiar with procedures such as STEMI, stroke/TPA, and RSI. Dress code includes royal blue scrubs, but other colors are acceptable. Emblems from competing organizations are not permitted. The department is recognized for having a 12-minute door-to-needle time for TPA. It also holds the record for the fastest bed assigned to patients in the region. This position offers exposure to new equipment and technology. The team consists of experienced staff members who provide a supportive environment for professional growth.
