Job Description & Requirements TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN in Med Surg for a 13‑week assignment in Amarillo, Texas. Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel We are looking for Medical Surgical RNs with 1‑2 years of recent acute‑care experience. The role includes the following responsibilities: Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients. Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment. Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs. Prepare equipment and aid the physician during examination and treatment of patients. Educate patients on surgical procedures. Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician. Physical requirements: able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty; lift 20 pounds routinely and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The position operates in a fast‑paced environment with patients who may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative.
