This role is an onsite resource for employee inquiries, payroll inputs, onboarding logistics, and a variety of other HR related tasks. You'll support the entire US HR team and own the weekly deadlines that keep employees paid accurately and on time.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Support & Weekly DeadlinesPrepare and submit weekly payroll inputs by Friday noon, including safety shoe, glasses, and club reimbursements; driver mileage; gift cards; spot awards; sign-on and employee referral bonuses; service awards; and payroll deductionsSupport weekly timekeepingReview and approve direct deposit changes, verifying employee identity against Workday and MFA recordsOnboarding & Employee RecordsCoordinate new hire orientation logistics, including PPE, badge photos, parking passes, safety checklists, and sign-inServe as backup for benefits during New Employee OrientationCreate and maintain employee files, ensuring all required forms are completeAdminister online verifications for current and future team membersLeave & Compliance AdministrationEnter leaves of absence in Workday and send FMLA exhaustion lettersProcess unemployment claims, verifications of employments and certified lettersMaintain the corrective action database, including entry, lookups, and filingUpload eligibility files to benefits systemsTemporary Workforce CoordinationSend weekly temp labor reports to staffing agencies (Express, UCORE, Spherion, Manpower) and resolve hours discrepanciesSupport weekly temp onboarding, including PPE, sign-in, and safety checklistsCode staffing agency invoices and route for director approvalInvoices, Purchasing & Gift CardsCode vendor invoices (lunch, safety shoes, florist) and obtain HR leadership approvalOrder HR supplies, lunches, flowers, and gift cardsManage gift card approvals, inventory, distribution, and logEmployee Communications & EngagementRespond to employee HR inquiries and distribute HR mailManage HR text messaging and all-employee communicationsLead the Spark Award and event committee meetings, coordinating Halloween, Veterans Day, holiday, and company picnic eventsAdminister service awards in O.C. TannerOther duties as assignedQualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent2+ years of HR, payroll, or administrative experienceStrong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and calculationsAbility to manage multiple recurring deadlines with minimal supervisionDiscretion handling confidential employee informationProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookPreferredAssociate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related fieldExperience with Workday or a similar HRISExperience in a manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of FMLA, unemployment, and background/MVR processesWorking ConditionsThis is an on-site role based in an office environment with regular time on the manufacturing floor.
