This role involves providing compassionate, culturally sensitive, holistic nursing care within a clinical setting, supporting the nursing mission, practice values, and strategic plan. The RN Educator will collaborate with the multidisciplinary diabetes management team to deliver diabetes education to patients and families living with diabetes mellitus. The position may include variable shifts, weekends, holiday, and/or on-call hours, and may require floating to various units based on clinical needs and competency. Job Details: Shift: Days, 8 hours per shift Schedule: 40 hours per week Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing program; licensure as an RN in Illinois and Wisconsin; approved CPR certification within 90 days; CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist) certification required; 1 year of experience or more. Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree is preferred. Additional Information: Provides holistic nursing care, including medication administration, patient education, documentation, and participation in performance improvement activities. Acts as a resource for patient education program development and addresses clinical, psychosocial, and financial issues as a patient advocate. Responsibilities may include floating to various units based on clinical needs and competency.
