Job Summary

Our client is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to manage medical department objectives and personnel, while ensuring compliance with Federal and State occupational medical requirements. The role involves both clinical occupational medicine practice and support of corporate medical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Medical Department Objectives and Personnel, ensuring compliance with GM Medical Department policies, and provide coverage for health staff as needed.
• Conduct clinical occupational medicine practices, including diagnosis, treatment of injuries and illnesses, and medical examinations.
• Support corporate medical initiatives and partner with business in providing occupational health guidance.
• Promote employee health and wellbeing through education, coaching, and participation in relevant plant meetings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field with PA certification and valid medical license in the State(s) of practice.
• For NP candidates, a Master of Science degree in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with board certification is required.

Experience

• Three to five years of medical experience, preferably in Occupational Health, Urgent Care, or ER.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
• Ability to lead change within workgroups and departments, demonstrating innovative and strategic thinking.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate, motivate, and inspire direct reports and others.

Additional Requirements

Flexibility in schedule, including going in early once weekly to accommodate overlap in shifts.
