Join a locally owned agency that knows your name and values your work.Why Work for Senior Helpers of Legacy Trail?Great Place to Work® CertifiedCompetitive Pay – $16.00–$18.00/hr with weekend & holiday pay differentialsPaid Training – no prior experience required; we invest in your developmentFlexible Scheduling – part-time, evenings, weekends, and holidays availableMileage reimbursement for client transportationServe clients close to home – Little Elm and surrounding area, no long commutesCareer Growth – opportunity to specialize in Alzheimer’s & dementia care and advance into senior caregiver rolesWhat Will Our Caregiver Do?Companionship & EngagementProvide meaningful companionship, conversation, and emotional supportEngage clients in hobbies, activities, board games, and other appropriate activitiesMonitor Alzheimer’s and dementia clients for behavioral or condition changes and report promptlyOffer a calm, consistent, and reassuring presence that clients and families can count onHousehold & Daily LivingPerform light housekeeping, laundry, and bed-makingPlan and prepare nutritious meals; assist with feeding as appropriateAssist clients with errands, shopping, and transportation to appointmentsSupport household management including apparel selectionPersonal CareAssist with bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing, and basic skin and foot careProvide toileting assistance, transferring (bed to chair, wheelchair, shower), and ambulation supportAdminister medication reminders and assist with catheter/ostomy care (empty only)Assist with diaper/brief changes and home exercise plans as directedDocumentation & ReportingDocument care activities accurately and consistently with agency requirementsClock in and out for each shift using the agency’s electronic visit verification (EVV) system; record daily hours worked and services performedReport any significant changes in client condition to your supervisor immediatelyFollow all policies and procedures outlined in the Senior Helpers Employee HandbookWe Would Like Our Caregiver to Have These Minimum Qualifications:Must be 18 years of age or olderHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrior home care or caregiving experience preferred – not required; paid training providedAbility to successfully complete Personal Care Services training and skills assessmentMust meet Texas state requirements for caregiver servicesValid Texas driver’s license with no serious violations and current auto insuranceReliable personal vehicle required; ability to travel to client homes throughout Little Elm and surrounding areasFlexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidaysAbility to successfully pass a background check and drug screeningFirst Aid / CPR certification preferred; must be obtained within 60 days of hireDemonstrates tact, patience, compassion, and good personal hygieneExperience:Home care or direct caregiving experience: Preferred (not required)Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or Alzheimer’s/dementia clients: A plusJob Benefits:Competitive PayPaid Training & OrientationMileage ReimbursementFlexible SchedulingSupportive, locally owned agency environmentAbout Senior Helpers:Senior Helpers of Legacy Trail is a locally owned and operated franchisee of SH Franchising, LLC dba Senior Helpers®, proudly serving Frisco, Little Elm, Aubrey, and surrounding areas.
