Pharmacy TechnicianTucson, Arizona, United States$ 28.00 - 28.00 (US Dollar)Job Openings Pharmacy TechnicianWe are seeking qualified Pharmacy Technicians to support healthcare services within a federal correctional facility. The Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and managing medications while ensuring compliance with federal and institutional regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret prescriptions and medication orders from medical staffPrepare medications for pharmacist review prior to dispensingAssist in medication distribution and pill line operationsMaintain pharmacy inventory, including tracking expiration datesEnsure proper storage and handling of medicationsMaintain accurate records using pharmacy computer systemsAssist in restocking automated dispensing systems (e.g., Pyxis)Monitor and maintain controlled substance and syringe inventoriesSupport patient instruction when appropriateMaintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspaceAssist with administrative and documentation tasksMinimum QualificationsCertified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB Certification REQUIRED)Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Pharmacy TechnicianHigh school diploma or equivalentCurrent CPR certificationBasic computer and data entry skills
