Your Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations in either an inpatient or outpatient context, tailoring treatment strategies to individual rehabilitation needs
• Execute physical therapy interventions centered on enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and functional capabilities
• Work in tandem with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation experts to maintain optimal patient outcomes
• Inform patients and their families about therapeutic goals, discharge planning, and home exercise programs
• Keep precise records of evaluations, treatments, and progress in line with both facility standards and regulatory requirements
• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and care team rounds to ensure seamless patient care

Educational Requirements

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution

Certifications Needed

• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification is preferred
• Additional specialized certifications (such as in neurological or geriatric physical therapy) are beneficial but not mandatory

Skill Set Requirements

• Proven experience in a healthcare setting is strongly recommended
