Call Specialist ( F/S/S 9a-9:30p)

Responsibilities Position: Call Specialist (Full Shift, 9a-9:30p) The Call Specialist will assess the needs of callers and patients presenting for assessment and ensure their admission or referral to the service or resource that best addresses their needs. The Call Specialist also ensures referral sources receive appropriate updates on their patients. Respond to telephone inquiries seeking mental health care or information about mental health related services. Respond to telephone/fax inquiries seeking facility transfers. Obtain admission orders and assign admitting physician. Assist with clinical assessments. Contact insurance companies/payor sources for authorization. Obtain patient and other required signatures on applicable forms. A master’s degree in a counseling or related field as well as license-eligible status is preferred.
