Tax Manager

Salary plus bonus: commensurate with experience Benefits: 100% paid medical, dental and vision. 401K match, generous PTO Overview: This is a review role, not a preparation role. You'll review complex Federal and State individual and fiduciary returns (1040, 1041) prepared by staff, and serve as the technical point of contact for a client base of high-net-worth individuals and their trusts and estates. The firm is planning for its next generation of leadership and is looking for someone who wants to grow into that role over time. Why this CPA firm:

They offer financial and retirement planning, family office services, estate and trust planning, and business valuation - so the work extends into succession, wealth transfer, and fiduciary matters.
- No business development required for advancement, including partnership track
- Busy season hours are structured to be manageable
- 4 days in-office with alternating Fridays WFH or off (May-December); part-time arrangements considered for the right candidate
- Located in Monmouth County - an option for anyone local or looking to move away from the North Jersey/NYC commute
- Review Federal and State individual and fiduciary tax returns (1040, 1041)
- Serve as a technical resource for staff and advisor to clients on planning and compliance
- Manage client relationships
- Mentor and develop staff-level preparers
- CPA license, or actively pursuing CPA licensure - EA candidates also encouraged to apply
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with a strong review/technical background
- Experience with Federal and State individual and trust/estate returns
- Proficiency with Thomson Reuters UltraTax CS and GoFileRoom, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks
