Location: Hilton Garden Inn/Homewood Suites San Diego Downtown/ BaysideLife as an Assistant Housekeeping Manager:Assist in managing daily housekeeping operations, including room assignments, inspections, productivity, and service recovery.Support the Director of Housekeeping in leading, training, coaching, and developing housekeeping team members.Conduct guest room and public area inspections to ensure cleanliness standards meet or exceed brand expectations.Monitor room readiness, prioritize VIP arrivals, and communicate effectively with Front Office and other departments.Ensure proper completion of housekeeping checklists, daily reports, and operational documentation.Assist with scheduling, attendance tracking, payroll review, and labor management.Maintain inventory levels for linen, supplies, and housekeeping equipment while minimizing waste and controlling costs.Address guest concerns related to housekeeping services with professionalism and urgency.Support quality assurance inspections, brand audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.What we're looking for:Previous housekeeping leadership or supervisory experience in a hotel environment preferred.Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, room inspections, and cleanliness standards.Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.Proficiency with hotel operating systems and housekeeping tools preferred.Must be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guestsAbility to walk, stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the hotel for extended periods.Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment as needed.Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays.What to expect in your first few months:First, you will become familiarized with the property and your associates! From there we'll have you work within the hotel operations, specifically in the housekeeping department, where you'll monitor and direct all housekeeping staff and housekeeping leadership.
