• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go.
• 5 years of experience with Android application development.
• Experience working with embedded systems, or audio technologies.
• Experience designing business system solutions and partnering with product owners and engineering implementation teams to prioritize requirements and define the delivery roadmap
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 10 years of experience in delivering consumer electronics products, feature roadmaps, or audio technologies.
• 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Specialization in Audio processing, system optimization, performance tuning and market delivery.
• Embedded development with strong sense of engineering power, latency, performance tradeoffs.
• Ability to navigate software stacks and frameworks, from embedded systems to higher level applications; connecting software stacks to deliver end-to-end user features.

• Collaborate with ML research, technology development and Product Management teams to define the roadmap of audio features for Pixel devices.
• Implement experiences and features direct, working with codebases throughout the stack from embedded to high level OS application.
• Decompose projects into sub-components for team members to deliver.
• Design shippable solutions that fit within extremely constrained compute environments, respecting power, performance, latency and user experience tradeoffs, obsessesing over Pixel Audio quality, polishing and perfecting product to create delightful audio experiences for users.
• Demonstrate AI fluency, an expectation in this role, be prepared to discuss your knowledge and use of AI tools during the hiring process.
