Overview
Surgical Tech – Cardiac OR travel assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date 06/08/2026 for 13 weeks. 12-hour shifts (3x12). Weekly pay range: $1,703–$1,738 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. This hospital-based assignment supports adult cardiac procedures, including CABG, TAVI, and advanced heart failure cases (VADs, ECMO, artificial heart and heart transplants) with DEN rotation, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities
- Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies for adult cardiac surgical procedures; assist the surgical team from the scrub position and, as needed, circulate.
- Maintain sterile technique, safe handling of sharps, and perform surgical counts according to hospital policy.
- Facilitate room turnover between cases; manage solutions and pharmacologic agents under direction of a registered nurse.
- Contribute to a multidisciplinary team approach for diverse cardiac cases, including CABG, TAVI, and complex heart failure support.
- Ensure proper handling of equipment and supplies, and anticipate equipment needs to support efficient case flow.

Requirements
- NBSTSA Certification or 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technician
- Two (2) years or more of recent experience in a cardiac operating room
- Able to scrub and circulate
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- New York licensure as Surgical Technologist (or eligibility, if applicable)
