Job Summary At Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, the Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse provides exceptional direct patient care to all patients during the intrapartum period. This team is known in the community for respecting patient choice and preferences, and to that extent can provide the lowest intervention birth as well as the highest intervention birth for all low risk and high risk patients. The unit assists an average of 4,400 births annually and provides 24/7 coverage with OB Hospitalist, CNM, Anesthesia services, Perinatologist, Neonatologist and Newborn Admission Nurse. In addition, the team works closely with a Perinatal Nurse Navigator, a Perinatal Social Worker and is supported by a 40 bed Level III NICU, 21 bed OB Antepartum unit and a 35 bed Mother Baby Unit.
