Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. This role involves working in a dynamic environment where you will float between the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Acute Care, and Adult Acute Care settings. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary certifications and experience to provide high-quality respiratory care across these patient populations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct airway management and medication administration.
Manage ventilators and perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis.
Administer oxygen therapy and other respiratory treatments, including suction and pulmonary toileting.
Utilize nebulizers, BiPAP, and CPAP machines effectively.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

Current Respiratory Care license in Indiana.
Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical respiratory therapy setting.
Experience floating between NICU, pediatric and adult acute care settings is highly preferred.

Preferred Skills

Experience in Trauma or Teaching hospital environments.
Familiarity with bronchoscopic procedures.
Knowledge of documentation systems, specifically Cerner.
Experience using equipment such as Hamilton G5 and Philips V60.

Work Schedule

This position requires a commitment to a schedule of 4x12 hour shifts, with weekend and holiday availability.

Additional Requirements

COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are mandatory for this position.
