Compliance Investigator

Job Duties

Conducts onsite investigations to assess crop insurance program compliance.

Performs investigations to substantiate alleged or suspected instances or patterns of noncompliance.

Participates in negotiations with persons whose activities have been found to be at odds with agency guidelines.

Conducts analysis of reports required of individuals and re-insured companies engaged in crop insurance activities to assess their compliance with mandatory guidelines.

Explains and promotes the regulatory/compliance program to those whose activities are subject to it, as well as to the general public.

Serve as an investigator with responsibility to conduct on-site reviews and evaluations of Re-insured Companies and general Risk Management program operations to ensure compliance with FCIC approved policies, procedures and guidelines.

Assist senior investigators in reviewing problems, controversies or alleged or suspected irregularities in claim inspections and payments.
