QC Scientist I - Environmental Monitoring - Night shift

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a QC Scientist I to perform environmental monitoring in sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing at the Greenville, NC facility. This entry-level position involves collecting samples and monitoring controlled cleanroom environments on a night shift rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Collect environmental samples within classified cleanrooms and aseptic processing areas
• Monitor controlled manufacturing environments and document activities per GMP requirements
• Follow aseptic techniques and established procedures for environmental and personnel monitoring
• Communicate monitoring results and observations to manufacturing, quality, and supervisory team members
• Maintain equipment readiness and escalate concerns or documentation issues to supervision

Requirements

• Associate degree in science-related field (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, or related science preferred
• Ability to lift 40 pounds without assistance
• Ability to stand for full 12-hour shifts
• Willingness to work nights on 2-2-3 rotating schedule
